The reigning champion at Mercedes Benz Challenge C300, Witold Ramanauskas, completed another hat trick, taking pole position and two wins in the opening round of the 2022 season.

In the quest for yet another title in the C300 category, Witold Ramasauskas showed grit,  high skills and full engine performance in the opening stage of the 2022 season of the Mercedes-Benz Challenge held last Sunday (29) at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo.

Early in the morning, Witold took pole position during the qualifying session held hours before the first race due to changes in the weekend’s schedule. That pole-position helped the driver with the car #113 take the lead with his first points in the championship.

“It’s great to start the year with a pole position. This are two points essential in the long run. It was in the little details, with one lap to finish that we’ve got there. The grid is very tight but I’m very happy with the results.”

commented Witold after the classification.

In the first race of the day, Witold remained in the lead early on holding the position throughout and setting the best lap of the race.

In the second race, as the rules demand a reversal between the top six on the grid, the driver of car #113 had to start behind but did not take long to take the lead and win for the second time at Interlagos.

The next round of 2022 season is scheduled for the weekend of June 18th and 19th at the  Ayrton Senna International racetrack.
