On August 6th, the fourth round of Império Endurance was complete at Interlagos race track in São Paulo. Império Endurance is the highest level of auto-racing in Latin America, a championship that includes 4 categories (with cars such as Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and several high-powered prototypes) competing simultaneously at the highest speed and adrenaline in Brazilian motorsport. The driver Witold Ramasauskas, who is sponsored by NanoXD and Wayne Auto Parts, completed the last hour of the race with a surprising finishing. The KIA Power Imports team, led by entrepreneur Alexandre Finardi with drivers Márcio Mauro, Marcelo Campagnolo and Witold Ramasausk; Together they secured fifth place in the P1 category, where the fastest prototype supercars in Brazil participate.

A race that didn’t lack high adrenaline

The KIA Power Imports team, starting in the 10th position, had several challenges and mechanical problems on the AJR super machine, but with a lot of talent from the pilot Witold Ramasauskas who took the driving seat in the last phase (aka “the last stint”) taking the car at the 18th overall position and ending up crossing the finish line in 5th place in Category P1, managing to reach the podium in his first complete race at Império Endurance championship.

I was coming in not happy with everything that had happened, but I thought if I made the last stint really strong and persistent we could pinch the podium. And that’s what we did, I set a very strong rhythm and when I crossed the finish line, I didn’t even know if we had made it to the podium, but to my left side I saw everyone cheering, almost entering the track. All of the team cheering and jumping at the grid, I was very happy, and I was grateful because everything went well, the team’s effort, the strategy and the podium worked out. It was really cool, really cool!” Witold Ramasauskas.
